Airplane Data Logger
FAA-approved compact data logger for aircraft temperature mapping with automatic data offload
Technical Specifications
Detailed specifications for Airplane Data Logger
The Airplane Mapping Data Logger is an FAA-approved compact device designed specifically for temperature mapping studies in aircraft cargo holds and cabins. The logger captures and stores temperature, humidity, light, and shock data every 10 minutes, storing up to 16,000 data points (110 days) in internal memory with 1-year battery life.
Data is automatically offloaded wirelessly when in range of a compatible gateway or mobile device running the data collection app—no manual process required.
The compact, rugged form factor (64 x 50 x 13mm, 51 grams) enables easy placement throughout aircraft cargo holds for comprehensive mapping studies. Operating from -45°C to +85°C with ±0.5°C temperature accuracy, the logger provides NIST-traceable calibration certificates for pharmaceutical validation requirements.
The device works out of the box with no activation or user configuration, features buttonless operation, and communicates via Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0+ with industry-leading wireless range. The logger uses aviation-compliant battery technology (Lithium Thionyl Chloride with lithium content not exceeding 1g) meeting IATA Dangerous Goods exceptions.
Fully compliant with aviation regulations including DO-160G Section 21, the logger has been deployed globally and supports GxP requirements for pharmaceutical cargo validation.
